Was the lead vocalist and performer of a band of 8. The judges 2023 Certificate of Participation described the performance as high energy and highly physical, demonstrating confidence and high audience rapport due to the close interactions and theatrical style of the dance and choreography. Our band came 4th and was awarded the Gold Tier Award. Was tasked with organising timetables, meetings and aiding in non-priority teacher tasks such as designing and displaying learning aid posters and marketable photographs in the department. I gained a lot of experience and understanding of the education system at Nexus and bureaucracy. (Part-Time) Central Force International Survey Caller December 2023 - January 2024 Worked as a Survey Caller briefly. Learned the essential need for resilience and how to maintain optimism for a potential successful survey completion. Also learnt how to engage positively and politely with the survey subject. (Part-Time) English Teaching Assistant and Papermark of Maths & English at Eye Level September 2024 - December 2024 Worked as a Teaching Assistant / Tutor for English. Taught children from primary and early secondary school ages basic and intermediate English according to the Eye Level guidelines and syllabus. Also responsible for marking papers from the mathematics subject. From my current impressions, I have learnt how to temper my expectations with those not familiar with the English language and assign fair but challenging tasks for the students - I aimed to always provide a comfortable space for mistakes and failure but also ensuring the student feels confident with what they have done right.
