About

I've been writing and editing professionally as a freelancer for the past five years, and it's been my full-time gig for three years. I have honed in on the supply chain niche. I have five years of experience working in various supply chain roles in a large multinational retail company so I'm well-versed in the industry, having insight into nearly every link in the supply chain.

I have experience writing and editing several types of materials including, but not limited to:

  • Articles
  • Blog posts
  • White papers
  • Case studies
  • Brochure copy
  • Email marketing campaigns
  • Press releases
  • eBooks
  • Ad copy
  • Video scripts
  • Pitch decks
  • Infographic copy

Niches I've written in:

  • Supply chain/Logistics
  • Real estate
  • Finance
  • Transportation
  • Health and wellness
  • Veterinary medicine
  • Parenting and family

I'm happy to accept writing or editing projects that fit any of the above descriptions, but supply chain is really my jam. I really enjoy making what can be a very dry topic more stimulating. I love writing copy that is homey and maybe a touch humorous while still remaining professional.

I'm passionate about language. The way that we say what we mean determines how others receive it. I

I'm well-versed in applying the principles of SEO my work. I prefer not to carry out keyword research, however, and honestly, you'd do better to hire someone who does it frequently as it'd take them much less time than it would me. I have experience putting together email marketing campaigns in MailChimp and Active Campaign. I also have experience working in the backend of WP and Shopify blogs.

I have an Associate's in Science with an emphasis in human biology, and I've worked in the healthcare industry. Once upon a time, I thought I should go into the nursing field, but ultimately decided it wasn't the career for me so I finished out my AS and left it at that. I have a wealth of informal education in writing and marketing.

I've also worked in the real estate industry in real life. I grew up in a real estate family with my mom and my grandma being agents, so it was a natural transition into grown up work for me.

On a more personal note, I have four children, ages 13, 11, 9, and freshly 1. I homeschooled them for several years, but they're all in public school now. My husband and I have been happily married for 13 years. I'm pretty crafty; I can spin yarn, crochet, sew, paint, and I'm a mean hot glue gun operator. My writing career actually began with a personal craft blog. I spend my (very limited) spare time reading, watching Netflix, or writing fiction.
