I’ve been working in the BPO industry for 10 years now. I was with American Express for about a year as a Collections Representative responsible for initiating and receiving customer calls concerning credit card account and processing payments over the phone. Also providing customer service support based on the customers needs such as billing related concern, disputes and charges breakdown. Providing payment solutions to the card members to help them bring their account into good standing and for the credit card to be available for charging again. Also the segment I was working on are for credit card customers with balances up to $10,000 and 30-60 days past due. The accounts are being presented by an automatic dialer.

Prior to American Express I was also with Wells Fargo for a year as a Collections Specialist for a year. I worked with the credit card department of Wells Fargo. I was able to work with a Manual Team. The account is going to be presented and I will do manual dialing and exhausting all phone numbers to reach the customer to educate and discuss the status of their accounts and also negotiate for payment arrangement as well as short or long term payment plan.

I gained my long term experience as a Collector with Allsectech Manila Inc. I worked for the company for 8 years. I was able to handle early and late stage delinquency accounts. Most the calls are being performed thru outbound calls. I was able to handle credit card accounts and loan accounts. I did skip tracing wherein the customer has no good number and I need to locate those customers thru some various tools. Setting up or scheduling payment arrangement over the phone. During my stay with the company I was also given an opportunity to be a Team Captain. Allowing me to assist new hire agents. I did side-by-side listening on guiding the new hires in the collection process and ensuring the new agents are aligned with the call quality standards. Providing necessary feedback for the betterment of their scorecards. Assisting and updating the team with recent updates of the process.
