I’m Tariro Mutereko, a 28-year-old Zimbabwean Library and Information Science professional with South African permanent residency. I hold a Master’s degree in Information Science and two Bachelor’s degrees in Library and Information Science, all earned with distinction—reflecting my commitment to excellence and continuous learning.
I bring a dynamic blend of academic rigour and hands-on experience across diverse sectors, including education, healthcare, corporate, and nonprofit environments. My core strengths lie in records management, data curation, information retrieval, and digital governance. I’ve successfully led initiatives that improved compliance, streamlined workflows, and enhanced access to critical information resources.
Currently, I serve as a Records Manager Assistant at Kunze Enterprises, where I oversee strategic records governance and implement systems that ensure data integrity and regulatory alignment. Prior to this, I managed library operations at Charleston Primary School, where I developed policies, optimised budgets, and collaborated with academic departments to enrich learning outcomes.
My experience also includes impactful roles such as Communications Intern at Practical Action (NGO), where I created targeted content and coordinated stakeholder engagement, and Data Curator at Mpilo Central Hospital, contributing to a published cohort study on isoniazid-resistant TB—available on ResearchGate.
I’m highly proficient in ICT applications relevant to information science, including digital archiving tools, metadata standards, and collaborative platforms. I thrive in remote, cross-functional environments and bring a proactive, detail-oriented approach to every project.
What sets me apart is my ability to combine strategic thinking with operational execution. Whether I’m designing a records policy, curating research data, or training teams, I bring clarity, structure, and a user-focused mindset. I’m passionate about transforming information into actionable insights and creating systems that empower organisations to work smarter.
I’m actively seeking remote opportunities in the related field.
