SUMMARY
From Munich to Cape Town! I’m originally from Germany and have over 5 years of
recruitment experience, with 3.5 years dedicated to the tech sector. This
background has given me a strong understanding of both the tech industry and
it’s talent. I hold a Bachelor of Science from the International School of
Management (Munich) and am fluent in both German and English, with a bit of
beginner-level French.
Alongside my enthusiasm for tech recruitment, I also have more than 2 years of
leadership and management experience. I truly enjoy working with people and
take great pleasure in teaching and mentoring my team members. Witnessing
their growth from having no knowledge to becoming skilled and confident in their
roles was one of the most fulfilling parts of my job.

I took a career break to focus on developing a profitable Airbnb business. This
involved managing all aspects of establishing our property, from renovations to
optimizing our listing for maximum returns. Concurrently, I researched and
networked to explore future career opportunities in Europe and the United States,

An innovative IT talent solutions provider specializing in
tech recruitment.
Head of Talent
Reason for leaving: Due to organizational restructuring, the Talent team was
reduced in size. As a result, the Head of Talent position was no longer required.
The company offered an alternative position, which I respectfully declined to
pursue.
Led the entire recruitment department, managing a peak team of 24 tech
recruiters, later streamlined to 11 due to organizational changes.
Supervised a team of 6 recruiters and directly managed the Talent Manager, who
oversaw an additional 5 team members.
Actively participated in recruitment as a tech recruiter while fulfilling leadership
responsibilities.
Recruited for various roles, maintaining a strong billing track record.
Signed two clients, Flexclub and AfricaWeather, despite the role not involving 360
recruitment or client management.

I represented Black Pen Recruitment on social media by creating a fictional scenario of a foreign
national seeking immigration and recruitment assistance. This demonstrated the ease of
immigrating to Cape Town. Additionally I was responsible for their content creation and daily
posts on all social media platforms.
