As an "elder millennial", I've had the pleasure of a varied career path. I started my first post college work in pharma on the product development and marketing side. I then transitioned to medical devices, specifically neonatal thermoregulation equipment, in the HR and Business Development spaces. These roles gave me a solid foundation in working with federal standards and regulations, as well as being on the "other side of the table" from the Legal team. When I decided to go to law school and graduated in the midst of a still recovering economy, I opted to start my own firm to get the kind of hands-on experience I wanted. I learned how to not only be a great lawyer--explaining legal issues to lay people in a way that could be easily understood--but how to run a business. My favorite saying to my clients was “I make it simple, so you can make a decision.” I had a greater appreciation for P&L, Marketing, Admin and Operations than I ever had as an employee. After the birth of my son, I returned in-house, on the Legal side. I learned more about data privacy and the regulations governing PII at the federal and state levels. I leaned into my role as a legal generalist and gained experience as a people leader. My last few roles have been in the Edu-Tech space, and contributing to the education of the youth has been extremely fulfilling work.
This role allows me to take all my prior work experience and make a solid impact. In addition to my business and legal acumen, I bring exceptional communication and negotiation skills, a keen attention to detail, and the ability to think strategically to solve complex problems. I believe this makes me a well-rounded candidate not only from a practical standpoint but gives me a perspective that is useful when working with various internal teams. I am confident in my ability to navigate the ever-evolving landscape and contribute to the achievement of any company’s goals. I am excited about the opportunity to discuss how my experiences and skills can support continued growth and success.
