Since three of my four daughters are now adults and I can now devote the time necessary to my proofreading passion, I have recently started my own business, Proudly Proofed LLC, to help others make their writing as clear and error-free as possible. Being an avid reader of all genres, I have over four years of experience proofreading and beta reading, both short- and long-form content, before publication to detect and remedy errors and eliminate confusing terms. My meticulous attention to detail and strong grammar and spelling skills have allowed me to catch many mistakes that get overlooked before the final publication. I have been a beta reader for three fiction authors, who also requested my proofreading suggestions before publishing their novels. My latest work was beta reading, proofreading, and minor editing for an author of a 200,000-word fictional novel. It has been a thrill for me to be part of her process of developing her story to offer suggestions for improvements in understanding and clarity, along with corrections for grammar, punctuation, and spelling. Many of my suggestions were integrated into her story, helping to keep it exciting and moving forward true to her style. She also asked for tips on how best to wrap up the novel and used part of my idea for the ending, which was exciting.

I have recently taken the grammar coursework through Khan Academy and received my proofreading certificate from Proofread Anywhere to help further hone my skills to give you the best proofreading experience that I can. I have also been proofreading through Project Gutenberg's Distributed Proofreaders for the last year to keep my skills fresh. I am confident that I can help you make your paper something you can be proud of.
