I have been with the Aga Khan Foundation (AKF) Afghanistan in various capacities since 2013. I have recently served as the National Project Manager for a World Bank-funded project contracted between AKF Afghanistan and the United Nations Office for Project Services (UNOPS). My contract and job relations with AKF ended in Dec 2023.
I hold a master’s degree in Management of Development from Turin University in Italy, which I completed in 2017. Additionally, I earned a bachelor’s degree in Education Studies from Takhar University in 2012. My professional development includes participation in several significant training programs, such as:
These programs have equipped me with the skills to effectively operate various software tools, particularly the latest version of Microsoft Office 365.
With over 10 years of experience working with international NGOs and civil society organizations, I have honed my skills in conducting surveys, assessments, and studies. I have been actively involved in designing project tools and documents, writing project concepts and proposals, and managing complex projects and programs, including budget and staff management, monitoring and evaluation (M&E), stakeholder management, and reporting. Notable achievements during my tenure at AKF Afghanistan include successfully implementing and supervising the Citizen Charter Afghanistan Project and the Community Resilience and Livelihoods Projects as the National Project Manager based in Kabul since 2018.
During my service with AKF Afghanistan, I developed specific risk management strategies to enhance project delivery. I possess strong communication and reporting skills, ensuring high quality and adherence to organizational standards. I have effectively utilized multiple systems for data extraction and quality report generation. My ability to communicate clearly, resolve issues promptly, and seek alternative solutions has been instrumental in my roles.
I also have excellent presentation skills and experience liaising with stakeholders. Over the years, I have been responsible for developing agreements and procedures within AKF Afghanistan.
