Ø Collaborate with executive-level management in the development of performance goals and long-term quality & operational plans to maximize efficiency and productivity through extensive process analysis and interdepartmental collaboration and set strategic goals for quality and operational efficiency and increased productivity.

Ø Improve the business processes for quality and production department through analysis and collaboration and get involved in long-term business planning at the managerial and executive level.

Ø Collaborate with department management to develop financial plans and analyze the performance of support functions for departments. Work with project managers to develop budgets for special programs and approval of significant business expense checks

Ø Oversee the operations and Quality Assurance and regulatory compliance programs as per the Health Canada Act and Regulations pertaining to production, processing, packaging, labeling in compliance with Health Canada Good Production Practices and Good Manufacturing Practices guidelines including SFCR, HACCP, SQF, BRC, ISO…

Ø Establish and enforce Good Production Practices (GPP), Good Documentation Practices (GDP), Good Agricultural Practices (GAP), and Quality Assurance standards as per heath Canada Acts, Regulations and Guidelines.

Ø Support continuous quality improvement of manufacturing through reinforcement of product quality programs, creation of specifications, selection of analytical laboratory for testing, verification/validation of testing methods and performance and oversight of various auditing and corrective/preventative investigation actions

Ø Develops operational and QA plans by conducting hazard analyses; identifying critical control points and preventative measures; establishing critical limits, monitoring procedures, corrective actions and verification procedures

Ø Drive continued improvement of the existing Program including the implementation of new regulatory requirements, compliance with regulatory requirements and procedures to achieve compliance. Communicate new regulations and legislation, emerging risks, regulatory trends and best practices
