My journey began 20 years ago in Makati City when I was born to Richard and Sarah Barbadillo, natives of Zamboanga Del Norte and Montalban, Rizal, respectively. They raised my brother, Stephen, and I in a loving and God-fearing home in Montalban where they both work as public school teachers.
Our family values reflected in our individual endeavors; Stephen earned the title of Summa Cum Laude when he graduated in the University of the East while I have been occupied with in-campus athletics and the art – the latter I have used mainly to glorify our God by being a ministry musician.
Life for me, in and outside of our home, was generally good. My parents served as my moral compass, Stephen as my role model, and my one-year old brother as the source of my joy. I was blessed with a happy childhood with great memories of me and my brother singing together in our church every weekend
I enjoyed public speaking functions and serving my co-officers as a leader that led me to being elected in a student-government office and later, as a national competitor representing my dear Alma mater as one of the finalist of Ten outstanding Maritime Students of the Philippines. Thereon, I was blessed to graduate in my institution with honors.
I have spent my time serving as a bible teacher in our church and around different areas in Montalban. I am still at the prime of my life but I have already learned some very important lessons on it: that family is our anchor when success flies us away, and that God’s plans are larger than ours, that He will never forsake us.
I have always chosen to see the bigger picture of things and in that lens, life is filled with love, hope, faith, and blessings in the guise of challenges.
