Duties & Responsibilities:
General Accounting
Day to Day Accounting: Supervise Corporate Accounting team in day to day accounting.
Book Keeping: Maintenance of Books of Accounts and make sure that the entry updation, reconciliations, etc. are done on a regular intervals. Responsible for all aspects of accounting (accounts payable, accounts receivable, billing, general ledger entries, bank reconciliation, credit card expense report reconciliation, cash applications, collections and claims)
Intercompany: Make sure the Intercompany Accounts are Reconciled in line with other entities.
Reconciliation of Accounts: Reconciliation of General/Sub Ledgers, Bank Reconciliation etc.
Accounts Receivable: Maintain and update the Project wise Accounts Receivables and Follow up with Client through the Project Manager or Directly for timely Recovery.
Accounts Payable: Supervise the disbursement of Accounts Payable and to make sure for a timely payments to the Vendors, Suppliers and various project Sites all over India. Implemented a system for timely payment to these Accounts Payable.
Fixed Assets: Finalisation of Fixed Assets Register, Physical Verification and working of Depreciation as per the Companies Act and Income Tax.
Monthly book closure: Reconciliation of Balance Sheet and P&L Items on a monthly basis and pass necessary adjustment Journal Entries.
Chart of Accounts: Setup of Chart of Accounts for the company in Tally or Other Softwares based requirement of Financials and MIS system.
Internal Control System: Implement the internal Control measures based on the approval of Executive Leadership of the Local Management in India.
Institutionalizing best practices and processes: To understand business requirement and set up the processes for better controls and watertight processes.
Statutory compliance
Good & Service Tax (GST): Finalisation of Monthly GST Liabilities, Payment and file the GST return on time.
Tax Deducted at Source (TDS): Finalisation of Monthly TDS Liabilities of Various Sections. Monthly Payment, filing of Quarterly Return and Issue of TDS Certificates.

Reporting: Responsible for delivering timely and accurate financial processing using Tally Software, month end close, cash management reports, and balance sheet reconciliation. Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, bank reports, and various detailed analysis reports

Employee Taxation: Responsible for Finalisation of Employees Personal Taxation based on the tax declaration submitted by the employees and deduct the same while processing the Payroll.
Full & Final Settlements: Finalisation of employees Full and Final Settlement on separation of Employees.
Salary Fixation: To fix the Salary structure while revision and fix the employee salary for the new employee hired. Involved in the performance appraisal and computation of Increment Working and Issue of Letter to the Employees Intimating the Salary Revision.
Other Compensation & Benefits: Formation of Employees Gratuity Trust and enrolling the newly joined employees under the Group Gratuity Policy taken from the Life Insurance Corporation of India.
