Project Experience: I) Master Prescriber Blocking: Aimed to reconstruct the functional flow of core applications running in Walgreens. It introduces a block check service at various steps of processing an Rx based upon Prescriber and Rx information. Two types of blocks: Soft Block and Hard Block were designed to occur based on the condition from the rule engine. II) EPCS for All:The objective Electronic Prescriptions for Controlled Substances (EPCS) was a proposal for the DEA to revise its regulations to provide practitioners with the option of writing electronic prescriptions for controlled substances. As per the revised DEA, for a controlled E - Prescription to reach Drug Dispensing Systems, it has to pass through several checks/Validations. If any one of the checks is not met, the EPCS will be blocked at superscripts application itself and it will not be reaching the drug dispensing systems. III) WAS 8.5 Upgrade: WAS (Web sphere Application Server), a web application server is a software Framework which is used to host Java Based Applications was upgraded from 6.1 to 8.5 version. So those webapps (java based) had to be tested if their respective functionalities were working as before the up gradation. As the Framework was upgraded, all the Java based web apps had to be Regression Tested to ensure that their functionalities remained intact in spite of the WAS 8.5 upgrade and no impact was made in the performance of the web apps as well. IV) One Power WAS 8.5 Upgrade: WAS (Web sphere Application Server), a web application server is a Software Framework which is used to host Java Based Applications was upgraded from 6.1 to 8.5 version. So those web apps (java based) had to be tested if their respective functionalities were working as before the up gradation. POWER is the core web application used in Pharmacy Operations. WAS server for this web had been upgraded to 8.5 Version. Addition to that DB changes has been made to the web app, which bought a single DB concept for both Production and Pilot Environments. All the Changes made had been tested thoroughly to ensure that Functionality of the web app is the same before and after the up gradation. V) FSA Admin: Future State Architecture Admin application has been designed and developed as an internal Build tool of Walgreens to implement the Single EAR file concept for all the Java based web applications used in Walgreens. Single EAR file concept enables building a single EAR file of a java web app for multiple environments instead of having traditional multiple EAR file concept, which needs an EAR file for every environment. FSA Admin web app will have all the property and values of the java file which will be dynamically used at the time of deployment across different environments.
