Working as Group Finance Controller since past 23 years in the UAE & 6 years in India, I am a finance veteran having accomplished following duties -

1. Account finalisation as per IFRS
2. Consolidation of group companies within UAE and in UK, Germany & Egypt including IFRS alignment with these countries' accounting standards. Having credential of eliminating major audit qualification for the holding co.
3. Managed big 4 audit firms for audit of the group companies
4. Bank borrowings for group companies managing almost USD 40 million worth of bank facilities which includes term finance, working capital finance of all kinds, trade finance. Also involved in Syndicated loans of USD 150 million.
5. Treasury- managed cash flow and liquidity at the group level, cash pooling for the group companies saving substantially in interest cost, organised reduction in interest pricing and charges, reducing spreads on purchase of foreign currencies particularly EUR & GBP purchases. Setting up systems for group treasury reporting, funds and foreign currency management. Managed interest SWAP, engaged in hedging strategies for managing foreign currency risks
6. Taxation & Regulatory compliance: High level expertise in managing taxation of India, UAE, Germany, UK & Egypt due to detailed experience in the field to cover corporate & personal income tax, VAT, WHT, Wealth tax, Customs & Excise etc.
7. Strategic management reporting: Carrying credential of setting up complete management reporting for the group companies in manufacturing, contracting, oil & gas and real estate industries. Having analytical skills and commercial acumen, I have excellent understanding of any business model which helps me in preparation of adhoc reporting with own initiative for improving the business, reducing cost, improving profitability. Acting always as a shadow of CEO & MD with all kind of finance and operational information.
8. Stakeholder relationship: Developed and managed relationship with investors, board members, tax advisors, regulatory authorities for compliances and various reports submissions and explanations.
9. Insurances and risk management: Adept in all kinds of insurances, CAR, PAR, Money, vehicle, professional indemnity, medical, group life etc.
