About

I hail from a small town in southeast Massachusetts. My summers were spent on Cape Cod and winters in the mountains of Northern New England; Mark Walberg was the greatest actor of all time, Tom Brady was my hero, and we didn’t talk to anyone who pronounced their 'R's.' In my early twenties, I broke free from my nest and went to school in the oxymoronic city of Savannah, GA. In the tiny city's bustling tranquility, I found myself scribbling poetry and rift-raft thoughts that would later develop into sketch and stand-up material.

Although I am still working on becoming funny, these scrawls were the origins of my most genuine passion, writing. I found solace in taking my thoughts and regurgitate them onto paper, and joy in collaborating with others to amuse and entertain. I began freelancing for an assortment of vendors, continued writing short stories and blogs, and even started a novel, but still only viewed writing as a hobby. Professionally, I started working as a life and accidental insurance salesman. My personability and sense of humor helped me to excel in the field quickly. Through hard work, I won several ‘Agent of the Week’ awards and swiftly maneuvered my way into a management position, solidifying myself as a reputable member of the company’s expanding team. I attributed my success to the realization that sales were less about the product being sold and more about the relationships being built. With a vast clientele list, I enjoyed the challenges of manufacturing liaison with my clients from a distance, producing presence and empathy through digital media. The power of words and their ability to exude personability and connectivity through impersonal channels had finally registered.

Today, I live just outside of the D.C. area with my best furry English Bulldog friend, Toro. I have decided to further my education in professional writing and digital marketing, and attend Southern New Hampshire University where I hold a 4.0 GPA and am a member of the National Society of Success and Leadership. My days are spent working, working out, and working towards further understanding the world around me and and how words impact it. Capturing and producing emotions through writing can awaken a reader’s minds-eye and makes the world a little less daunting. I strive to assimilate my exuberance for writing into the digital world to create thought-provoking content to captivate, charm, and connect the world around me.
