My diverse work experience and academic background from varied environments and scenarios, affords me uniqueperspectives and positions me to contribute significantly to the organization’s mission. In subsequent paragraphs, I outline my motivation for applying; how my knowledge, experience, and skills align with the role; and the unique attributes I bring to the table. Also, I am always open and willing to learn any new knowledge, skills, and technology, required to meet the needs of the job. 

My motivation for applying stems from a deep-seated belief in the transformative power of data in enhancing project and product delivery and outcomes. I am committed to leveraging data and technology, towards collaborating and contributing to work that directly or indirectly create value and improve outcomes. I relish the opportunity toplay a part in the delivery of data, analytical insights, intelligent models,and automated initiatives, underpinned by theoretical and empirical foundations, to drive decision-making, influence policy and standards, improve delivery outcomes and user experience.

With a BSc in Computer Science, MSc in Computing Solutions for Business and a PhD in Computer Science, I am very adept at leveraging business and programming skills, advanced statistics, cloud platforms, and multidisciplinary team collaboration, to derive actionable insights, drive strategic decision-making and support continuous improvement. I bring with me, a unique blend of technical proficiency, research expertise, teaching experience, a passion for exploring new challenges and commitment to continuous learning. Known for an agile mindset. I have led end-to-end delivery of various analytical programmes of workfocused on improving value, outcomes, and user experience. My tenure at Hewlett-Packard, Staffordshire University, and the NHS, involved leading on implementation of: research and development, end-to-end reproducible data analytics pipelines, assurance strategies, reporting infrastructure, model creation and evaluation, ultimately directed at improving data-driven decision-making.

What sets me apart is not only my technical proficiency, research ability and leadership capabilities, but also my ability to breakdown and translate complex data into actionable insights, comprehensible to diverse range of stakeholders and collaborators. My background in teaching and research during my time at Staffordshire University and my time as SharePoint developer at Hewlett-Packard, has equipped me with exceptional communication skills, enabling me to bridge the gap between technical teams and decision-makers effectively. Furthermore, my proactive approach to learning and adaptation ensures that I stay on top of emerging trends in analytics and technology.

I have demonstrated leadership in managing an analytical team, fostering an environment of collaboration and innovation. At Warrington and Halton Hospitals NHS Trust, I mentored junior and senior analysts, and led a team in streamlining processes, automating workflows, and delivering actionable insights to inform clinical and operational improvements. My roles as Senior Evaluation Manager, Principal Information Analyst, Data Analyst and Data Quality Analyst within different NHS environments (both agile and non-agile) at both national and local levels, have honed my expertise in collaboration and delivery of timely, high-quality intelligence and analytical solutions. 

My career is marked by a commitment to innovation, continuouslearning, and improvement. To ensure consistent provision of qualityanalytical products that deliver value and drive  strategic decision-making, I often employ a mix of the following: stakeholder engagement and management techniques; advanced statistical knowledge;programming skills (Python, SQL, JQL, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Mermaid, Markdown and JSON); collaboration & automation (Agile, Azure DevOps, GitHub, Git, Loop, Planner, Power automate, Microsoft forms, SharePoint, & OneNote), proficiency in cloud platforms (Azure and AWS cloud environments); and BI tools (Tableau, Power BI, Power query, SSMS, Azure Data Studio, Databricks, VS Code, SSIS, Azure Data Factory).
