Description
: Network Analysis determined the critical path, along with identification of parallel tasks
that can be completed during the assembly of aircraft wing set. Value Stream was
mapped for identification of Non – Value added activities and segregation of assembly
activities into stages. An Estimated reduction in cycle time from 19800 hrs to 16440 hrs
was achieved for assembly of aircraft wing set.

Description
: The expected number of metro coaches production per month is 21, but the actual number
of coaches produced were 18. Cause and Effect analysis identified the factors leading
to the delay of metro coach production and further study conceived the idea for feeding
the raw material to the production shop in 7 cycles per month instead of 2 cycles.
An estimated result of 5% increase in productivity was achieved.
