Soledad Cook

I am a passionate worker that loves the art of storytelling. I want my images to make the viewer want to read more about it. I am interested in a variety of projects such as scientific illustrations, book covers & illustrations for children books, character design, editorial work.

My background; I am a scientist as well as an illustrator. Currently I am working freelance with several illustration projects ranging from book covers to children book illustrations.

My knowledge:

·      Illustration:  classic art (oil painting, water colour and ink),  Digital (photoshop and illustrator) I Have followed art classes at university level as well as privately. I am currently following a master program at an online art school (CGMA), where I cover character design, analytical figure drawing, and the art of storytelling

·      Science: Microbiology, immunology, molecules & cellular biology 

My scientific background has helped me understand complex topics and be able to explain them to an audience. I think this helps me conveying a strong message with my images. 

I work using classic media (oil & water colour) as well as digitally using Photoshop and Illustrator.

I am an easy to work, efficient person, who will try to meet my clients requirements to a 100%. I work efficiently and love to give a finished product that you will be completely satisfied with.
