Sitoshna Nayak

I’m Sitoshna Nayak, a passionate and curious student of Journalism and Mass Communication at Birla Global University with a diploma in Computer Science Engineering. My journey has been shaped by a desire to blend creativity with impactful communication—whether it's through visuals, words, or strategies.

With a strong foundation in media production, public relations, and digital storytelling, I’ve explored various dimensions of the communication industry. During my internship at Doordarshan, I gained firsthand experience in broadcast journalism, contributing to content research, scriptwriting, and live news production. This opportunity not only sharpened my editorial skills but also gave me a glimpse into the fast-paced world of media.

I’ve consistently sought opportunities to challenge myself beyond the classroom. Whether it was designing print ads for Birla Global University or capturing student life through a 6-frame photo story for Chitra Utsav (which won 2nd prize), I’ve enjoyed telling stories that resonate. My participation as a Model United Nations delegate representing Odisha on the SDGs allowed me to apply research, diplomacy, and presentation skills in a global policy simulation.

I believe effective communication today requires digital fluency, and that’s where my skills in social media management, digital marketing, and content creation come in. With certifications like the Coursera course on Gender Equality from the University of Western Australia, I continue to stay informed about social issues and global narratives.

As someone fluent in English, Hindi, and Odia, I bring a multicultural perspective to my work and thrive in collaborative settings. Whether it's managing a team or executing a solo project, I value adaptability, curiosity, and attention to detail.

Ultimately, my goal is to contribute meaningfully to media and communication spaces that inspire, inform, and influence. I am excited about opportunities where I can grow while creating stories and strategies that make a difference.
