Cementing an exercise habit is a task for a lot of us. Even if you try to fit a workout routine into your (busy) schedule, you just don’t feel motivated enough. Everyone needs a push to stop pigging out and start working out instead. So here is a list of all the great and awesome reasons that can make your sticking-to-a-fitness-routine a reality -
1. Start small
How can you stick to a fitness routine when you do too much in too little time, over-exhausting your body for the next work out session? The idea is to take baby steps and gradually build up the stamina. Make it challenging only when you feel your body is ready for it.
2. Put your workout goal up on social media
When we openly say that we are going to do something on social media, we hardly ever back out even if we want to because let’s face it, your image is at stake. So tell your friends on your social media account(s) about your workout goals and stick to them.
3. Break the monotony
Make working out more fun if you want to stick to it. When we have fun doing something, we look forward to doing it regularly. So change your exercise routine every now and then so even your body doesn’t get bored of it.
4. Use technology
Thanks to the amazing apps we have today, keeping a track of the level we started from and the changes so far has become very easy. Seeing how much we have improved over time only gives us that much required push to stay on track.
5. Compete
Set challenges with your friends and compete with each other. Show the friends who think they are better than you that they are not. But take it in your stride if someone does it better than you though. This should only be another push to do better, right?
