Firstly, I would like to take a moment and reflect on how grateful and lucky I feel to have stumbled across this opportunity
To start off, I’d like to throw some light on my background. I am an Indian and have completed my high schooling and Under graduation both from Indian institutes. I have done my B tech, however I chose Human Resources as my career path. It gives me great job satisfaction and happiness to know I have helped many people land a job. Connecting with people and understanding their backgrounds and guiding them professionally is major part of my daily KRA.
At 16, I chose to major in science and math and went ahead to prepare to get into an engineering college. I thought engineering was my calling, until midway through the four-year course I realised Engineering was not for me. I was indeed fooled by my brain! I personally also feel that taking a decision -that too a major decision like a career choice is quite hard at such a young age since you evolve so much with time. However, if your choices are the same since long- its either because you are a person with clarity or because you choose to not venture out if your comfort zone. Nevertheless, I managed to finish my course with a decent grade.
The big question was : What next?
It took me a while to find my calling, I searched for internships online and applied almost randomly in a trial-and-error fashion. I landed one HR internship, It was indeed life changing. I could relate to being a HR professional and the learning curve was exponential since all this was new to me. I absorbed things like a sponge and not having a HR degree never impacted me much. I have been in this field since nearly 3 years, however in future I would be open to other roles in different areas if they inspire me to switch, since I believe some changes are for the better and life is too short to be uptight. I look to be creatively challenged at all times. I am always open to learning more and growing as both a professional as well as a person.
My other interests include writing, travel, watching meaningful short videos and cooking.
