Shiela Mae Arbuso

I have Bachelor of Science Degree in Accounting Technology and I am a Member of the Institute of Certified Bookkeepers (MICB), a Registered Cost Accountant (RCA), and a Career Service Professional Eligible (CSPE). I have been working in the Accounting field for five years now but I've always wanted to do work related to writing.

I've been the editor-in-chief of the school paper for two years during high school and have been joining journalism contests since fifth grade. Writing has been my hobby since my primary school days, and I've written various fictional stories for my family and friends. During my time as the editor-in-chief of my high school's official school paper, I've edited countless editorial, feature, sports, and news articles.

Since I'm an Accounting major, I don't have a lot of experience in the field of writing. I've never had experience in the larger world of journalism, either, so that thought used to hold me back in pursuing a career in this field. However, I've come to realize that my lack of experience actually helps, since there are so many opportunities out there that could help out with my career progressions.

I believe I'm a fast learner and I'm always eager to learn new things. Whenever I get assigned to a specific task, I make sure to invest my time and effort to understand my work in order to execute it flawlessly, if possible.
