Sheresh Eunice Cortes

I am a fresh graduate of BA Communication & Media Studies from San Beda College Alabang who is in constant pursuit of stories. Through the years, I have gathered writing experiences which, I believe, could be contributory factors for me to be eligible for this position. During college, I had written scripts that were of different genres such as romance, crime/mystery, and comedy. My undergraduate thesis entitled "A Case Study on How the Image of Antonio Luna Shifted Through Time in Art, Literature, and Film in the Philippines" had earned my group a nomination for Best Thesis, and the award for Best Presentor during our department's first communication forum. More to that, I worked as an editorial intern for a travel magazine during my internship program, writing articles with topics ranging from places to cosmetic products. Outside my academic life, I have also written articles for a nationwide youth organization called Elevate. But more than these experiences, I believe what will qualify me for the position are my curiosity and my passion for finding wondrous revelations in grand and seemingly trivial things, and telling stories. I am well aware that my skills may need more improvement (e.g. no background in SEO writing). For this, I'd like to let you know that I am more than willing to be trained and to undergo necessary processes to become better and more efficient.
