I have worked very hard to be in the position I am as Head Teacher of my
current centre however I believe I can grow even further within my career.
I would like to vary out my options and look at whether there is a school I
can continue working hard in but that may assist in my further growth,
even towards HR if there's room for that, while also receiving better
benefits for myself too. I am currently in my 30s and am looking for a
better quality of life in the long run.
SHARDALE ISRAEL
Within the next 5 years, my goal is to establish myself in my own business
and as an educator. I plan to do my best to find a balance to enjoy, work,
study and do what it takes to travel this journey. My BA degree prepared
me for employment within the media, events and promotions industry,
and as a prospective language practitioner, especially as a teacher of
English as a Foreign Language.
I grew up in a family of teachers and learnt quickly that it is a
commitment that cannot be taken lightly. It is with this attitude that I
planned to teach first to gain more experience in the world and in the
working world, which is why I travelled to South Korea to be an English
teacher to foreign students. Through my time in Korea, Vietnam, Hong
Kong and Macau I have only come to realise and accept how much I love
being a teacher to second language students and have enjoyed growing
within this expertise area. It has been an experience that has been
worthwhile to me – a different work ethic has been learned. Naturally, the
travelling experience gave me whole new perspective on life, the world
and the people around me.
It is for this reason that I wanted to continue my journey as a teacher in a
foreign country, I have so much more to learn and see. Vietnam showed
me just how much I love my students and being a traveling teacher –
which is why I would like to continue on with my career in this field which
is also why I am currently studying my PGCE and should be complete in
2024.
