I am a computational physicist (PhD and postdoc in computational photonics) with extensive experience of solving physical/mathematical problems in both academia and industry. The following provides a summary of the work I have done:
- Multiphysics simulations using Comsol. This involved electromagnetics (RF/Wave optics), electrostatics (AC/DC), diffusion (Weak form modelling), structural mechanics and electron tracing calculations. As an advanced user, I am comfortable scripting Comsol or directly implementing new physics through the weak/coefficient form module. Moreover, I am also able to use opensource tool FeniCS to solve multiphysics problems.
- Machine learning methods for scientific problems. This involved both regression and classification models.
- Data analysis in Matlab and Python. In both academia and industry I had to extensively analyze data and deploy visualization tools to present my work.
- Nonlinear filtering methods for image denoising and deblurring.
