Special Projects Manager
Dubai, U.A.E.
Responsible for management of projects and project related activities, including
bidding of government tenders, response to RFP’s, project documentation and

NOL Project Implementation: Implementing a (RFiD) based contactless smart

integrate the payment mode of PTO’s (public transport operators) in Dubai. The
implementation includes setting up of a Central Clearing House System (Level 4
solution) for revenue apportionment to individual transport operators and
integration of Level 4 to AFC Level 3 including supply and installation of
hardware, application development and maintenance of the system. Scope also
includes installation of Central Card Issuance Systems for NOL Card
personalization & issuance. The project is led by a strong consortium and
multiple vendor base. Successful implementation will mean the use of one
‘single card’ for payment of services across transport modes like Metro, Bus,
and Water Taxi. The card is also designed to pay for parking services in Dubai.
Evolution of the system will eventually result in facilitating micropayments to
selected merchants for retail purchases. Project currently in
warranty/maintenance phase.
Combi-Card Project: The combi card project is an exclusive partnership between
Visa, one of the world's leading electronic payments networks, Roads &
Transport Authority (RTA) and Emirates NBD for launching a co-branded credit
card with an inbuilt NOL transport application and EMV application. The multipurpose card will enable customers to use ENBD Visa Debit and Visa Credit
Cards to pay for a range of public transport fares, including the metro, buses,
water taxis and parking fees. Through the combi-card, customers can enjoy the
benefits and convenience of two cards in one, utilizing both the payments
functions of their debit/credit cards, as well as the Nol smart card which
features innovative contactless payment technology.
The project is currently underway and scheduled for deployment in the coming
months. Active role in supporting RTA/ENBD in the integration/development
