CURRICULUM VITAE KUYINU OLUWASEYE ACHIEVEMENTS In June 2013, a communication campaign I designed for StyleRebirth.com was featured in the Luerzer’s Archive, Ads Of The World and IloveAds, This has been the second time a group of Nigerians would be featured in the Luerzer’s Archive. In December 2010, I led a successful online campaign for presidential aspirant, Chief(Dr.) Harry Akande based on predetermined KPIs. August 2010, I started the first WordCamp in Nigeria. WordCamp is a bimonthly conference of WordPress developers and enthusiasts in Nigeria who want to know how to maximize usage of the Open Source technology; who also want to know how to leverage its extensibility. With an experience of over seven years in web development, I have a deep knowledge of many angles of communication, able to develop consumer-driven and effective online strategies that improve the bottom line and propel company offerings to the top. I am highly proficient in web development technologies and the use of social media marketing tools to drive brand objectives. CAREER HISTORY Ringier AG – July 2013 to date Chief Technology Officer I was hired in 2013 by Ringier, the largest internationally operating Swiss media company, to lead the online marketing, technology, graphics and web team for the Nigeria branch office. I also serve as the product manager for our biggest product, Pulse.ng and Pulse.com.gh. I am responsible for implementing new features and ideas that ultimately impact the bottom-line. I lead the team that built and maintains the Pulse.ng/Pulse.com.gh app which are both available on the Google Play Store and the Apple Store. The app has brought in $95,000 in revenue and 50,000 installs within just 6 months of its launch. I oversee digital strategies for RDM, the daughter company at Ringier while writing new plugins and functionality for our Java-based CMS, Escenic. RightClick Nigeria Limited. – January 2011 to July 2013 Head, Web Development In January of 2011, I was hired by RightClick Nigeria Limited to help train and lead a team of web applications developers. My role involved meeting clients, getting their requirements and creating solutions that best suit their digital marketing needs. As the only company in West Africa recognized by the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C), I developed projects that adhered to web standards. Some of the web development projects I led from design to implementation included the development of the Skye Bank, First City Monumental Bank, Diamond Bank, ARM group, Union Bank, Federal Ministry of Youth Development websites. Nysteria Solutions. – September 2009 to January 2011 Creative Director, Co-founder The decision to start a creative agency that would cater to the branding needs of small and medium sized businesses was an idea that drove me into starting Nysteria. I set up Nysteria with a brilliant team of business analysts and technology enthusiasts. My roles within the company were extremely broad, ranging from creative, technical, management, client contact and proposal writer. I have proven myself to be an all rounder, but with a passion and flair for the creative and design. The idea was to raise awareness for orphanages in Oyo State through online and social media platforms, the Oyo State Government being the sole partner. The project was since taken over by Prof. Odebode(University of Ibadan). February 2010, I started Nigeria’s PHP Classes conferences. PHP Classes Repository is a service created in 1999 as a means of distributing freely available programming classes of objects written in the Web scripting language named PHP. The goal of this service was to build a base of programming components ready to be used in Open Source applications written in PHP and by extension, create availability of freely distributed software ready to be used by the community at large. HOBBIES AND INTERESTS I have a flare for all facets of art, design. In my spare time, I play the violin and the piano. I also write articles and reviews for a number of technology, design and digital media magazines in my spare time. I have a flare for travel photography. SOFTWARE PROFICIENCY I have extensive knowledge of many software applications. Listed are those which I use on a regular basis: Adobe Illustrator & Photoshop I have been using Photoshop and Illustrator extensively since 1997 and consider myself to be an expert user. I now use Photoshop for touch ups and Illustrator for vector based designs and logos. Principle & Invision I am proficient with the use of prototyping tools like Principle and InVision. These I have used as second step in at least 25 projects. Sketch I use Sketch for all my mobile UI designs, some of which I have showcased on my Dribbble page. PROGRAMMING I have expert knowledge in the following programming, library and markup languages: HTML 5, PHP, Ruby On Rails, Javascript, CSS3, Perl 5, MySQL.
