Red Elephant - Sertac Mustafaoglu - Selected Brand Identity & Logo Design Client: Luna & Co. Electrical | Australia Scope of Work: Brand Identity Design and Brand Development for an electrical service company, including logo, brand identity guidelines, stationery, marketing, promotional item designs and brand consultancy. Challenge: One of the main challenges was creating a brand identity which would enable the target customer to feel a connection with an electrical service company. Design Journey: I embarked upon many lengthy research and brainstorming sessions with the client, helped them to discover more about the target audience, (homeowners, housewives, etc.), and to develop the ideal language, voice and tone for the brand. Eventually, I decided to use a teal colour to emphasize a fresh, light, inviting and homey feel. Luna, a rescue dog who represents family / idea of a safe household, exactly like the advertised services promised. Therefore, we built the Brand Identity on Luna. Using Luna as the brand mascot also helped us create connections with communities, via activities based on an ‘animal-love’ theme. This approach proved to be the right activities were a dog-themed collaboration Red Elephant - Sertac Mustafaoglu - Selected Brand Identity & Logo Design Client: Niku Niku | Hong Kong Scope of Work: Branding, concept and logo development for a high-end Japanese ‘yakiniku’ restaurant, items such as signage, food / drinks menus, business cards and stationery. Design Journey: dot (on top of the ‘I’) symbolises meat on a grill and a set of chopsticks. The aim was to keep all visual material as minimalistic and sleek as possible. Therefore, no colour or forms, other than the logo elements, were used on the printed materials such as food / drinks menus, name cards, etc. Red Elephant - Sertac Mustafaoglu - Selected Brand Identity & Logo Design Client: Rusty Nut Cafe | Australia Scope of Work: Logo and brand image design for a vegan cafe / bakery, restored from an 80-year-old highway garage. Design Journey: The challenge was not to mimic the past, but rather to pay tribute to the heritage associated with this local and historicallyThe client requested a retro logo and colour palette. Therefore, we used a mix of retro design elements, along with a macadamia nut, which is a characteristic symbol of the region.
