With over 20 years of diverse and cross-functional experience in nonfiction and creative writing, IT, software development, data science, project management, and strategic communications, I am a civic-tech and education innovator who strives to create positive social impact through technology and creativity. I have a PMP certification, and a PhD in Communication, Culture, and Media. I am also familiar--or proficient--with various software-development languages and tools such as ReactJS, Redux, Material UI, Figma, GitHub, Storybook, Cypress, AWS, Google Firebase, Python, HTML, CSS, JavaScript & ReactJS, and WordPress.
Currently, I am a (volunteer-) software developer for the PHLASK.me project. This collaborative initiative aims to improve access to free clean drinking water in Philadelphia, as well as (free/nutritious) food-resources and foraging sites, and public bathrooms. I coordinate the app's maintenance and improvement with various teams; adding, adjusting, and maintaining the app's features and functionality.
I am also the founder and project manager of the SDK Alter-Ego Group, composed of a nonprofit techno-creativity collective group, and a higher-education advisory service for international students and other stakeholders. I plan and implement the long-term and day-to-day strategies and tactics of both divisions, and I conduct research and consulting projects for clients in business-, non-profit-, government-, and other sectors.
