Personal Statement
As a disciplined graphic designer with a strong foundation in book publishing and highly detailed
pharmaceutical projects, I bring a deep understanding of layout principles and the power of visual
storytelling, allowing me to translate complex briefs into clear, compelling designs with a strong
focus on precision and detail. My core expertise lies in layout design using Adobe InDesign, often
combined with collage-style artwork created from AI-generated imagery.
Looking ahead, I’m eager to explore the growing role of artificial intelligence in design and to further

Schalk is a talented and thoughtful graphic designer who has made a strong contribution to our team at
XEIOH. We work in a highly specialised space, translating complex medical and clinical content into clear,
meaningful communication for both physicians and patients. Schalk has consistently brought precision,
creativity, and insight to this work.
He has a sharp instinct for visual clarity and is particularly skilled at crafting infographics that are not only
accurate but also engaging and easy to interpret – no small task when working with complex healthcare
information. He asks the right questions up front, often digging deeper into the brief to ensure he fully
understands the context and objectives. This curiosity, combined with his strategic mindset, consistently
