Having an extensive background and interest in politics and history, I am capable of writing extremely fluently and clearly on these subjects. I love reading about these subjects in my spare time (involving topics as diverse as US foreign policy, ancient and early modern monarchies and administrative systems, Middle Eastern and East Asia culture and history, diplomacy, to name just a few). I have long shown an interest in the Islamic World in particular, having visited countries in the Middle East several times over the years and pursued Arabic courses in the Sultanate of Oman. Speaking of which, I also love to travel, having visited states as diverse as Peru, China, Vietnam and Russia over the years.

I am also excellent at touch typing, meaning that it takes me relatively little time to type up essays or articles whenever required of me. I am also relatively proficient in using Microsoft Word, Excel and Power-Point and have a basic understanding of the computer programming packages Python and Java. In my spare time I enjoy a wide range of activities such as baking, cooking, swimming, paddle-boarding, running and hiking among others. I am quite friendly and approachable - not to mention reliable, whenever I promise to do something, I do it to the best of my abilities!
