Each instance is logging module specific server logs. Needs to capture all the log details from these different modules. In case any critical issue happens it will help the support person to get the issue details and keep track of the errors for future reference. log management product read the module data from all instances and push into central repository. This data is later used in issue report. ELK stack is used for the creation of the report. Report will have instance specific logs, number of requests processed, errors occurred during processing. log management has logstash script running on each module instance. Logstash reads the instance server log and loads the data to elasticsearch. Then the kibana uses the elasticsearch centralised data for report generation. My Responsibilities Installation & Configuration ELK & Rsyslog on Server Creation of logstash script for loading the data to elasticsearch for various modules. Defining the various indices that need to be created for each module. Creating different visualization and dashboard in kibana. Tools & Processes Tools: Elasticsearch, Logstash,Kibana,Rsyslog,Agile Project 2: System Metric Product Project Description: Product can run on any server and collect a wide variety of metrics from the system (cpu, memory, swap, etc.), common services (mysql, redis, postgres, etc.) Telegraf built as a metric-gathering agent for InfluxDB, but has recently evolved to output metrics to other data sinks as well, such as Kafka. It allows users to easily integrate InfluxDB into their existing monitoring and logging stack, and to continue using their existing tools that consume kafka.
