Sarah Rebecca Kersley

I'm a translator, writer, and editor from the UK, based in Brazil. I work with literary and academic texts, creative adaptation for advertising, subtitles, graphic novels, and many other kinds of text. My translations of poems, short stories, essays and articles by Brazilian contemporary writers have appeared widely in journals, and I am also the author of two books. I co-founded and co-run Livraria Boto-cor-de-rosa, an independent bookshop, cultural space and small press focused on contemporary fiction and poetry, in Salvador, Brazil, where I am based. Over the years, I've worked with researchers, branding companies, museums, artists, and creatives who have sought my skills in translating rhythm, rhyme, metrics and style.
