With more than 16 years’ experience in research and education, I edit and write journal articles, grant proposals, book manuscripts and chapters, research reports, evidence briefs, and abstracts. I work with researchers, in the health and social sciences, from the proposal stage to the dissemination of their research.
Since completing my PhD in adult education at the University of Toronto in 2005, I have held a number of positions in health sciences research and education at the University of Toronto and the Sickkids Research Institute. I have focused on improving healthcare and clinical practice through research, education, and knowledge translation.
I specialize in qualitative, arts-informed, and mixed research methods; implementation science; and health professions' education. In my doctoral research, I explored the experiences of childhood immigrants who maintained their mother tongue and became bilingual.
I have authored and co-authored journal articles, book chapters, and abstracts; developed and contributed to successful grant applications, including a recent $7M CIHR Foundation Grant; and created knowledge translation materials for diverse audiences.
