• Experienced 1099 HR consultant, business owner, and candidate sourcer.

• Able to produce qualified candidates quickly for both technical and non-technical roles, as well as specialty niche positions and roles requiring security clearance.

• Handles sensitive, confidential information with the utmost care.

• Fully-functional consultant with my own subscriptions to LinkedIn Recruiter, ZipRecruiter, Indeed, CareerBuilder, Monster, Hiretual, etc.

I have more than a decade of experience with HR, staffing, and recruiting functions. This has included successfully filling roles at all levels and in all parts of the country. I have been a top producer/big biller in staffing and I have owned and operated my own staffing firm before. I know what it takes to be successful in this industry. I have a Kaizen Yellow Belt in Lean and Just-in-Time recruiting strategies; I have deep understanding in Agile and Value Stream Mapping practices in recruiting. I know how to focus on methods that work well and work quickly.

I have worked in a variety of ATS/CRM systems: SAP, Kenexa, Bullhorn, Workday, Greenhouse, Lever, Taleo, Brassring, JobDiva, etc. I have also used a wide variety of job boards before: Indeed, Monster, CareerBuilder, Dice, ClearanceJobs, ZipRecruiter, etc. There is very little I have not encountered over the past decade! I am trained in best practices for DEI (diversity, equity, and inclusion) as well as Workplace Diversity & Inclusion Implementation.

I am an experienced, efficient, and highly effective candidate sourcer. I genuinely enjoy playing detective and sourcing candidates. I have my own premium subscriptions to LinkedIn and Indeed, and I am very well-versed in Boolean searches and ways to find candidates through both traditional and non-traditional means. Because of my years in the industry, I also have a large network of candidates and contacts who are willing to give me excellent referrals. I have sourced candidates for oil & gas/energy, academia, federal government & military positions, food & beverage, construction & EPC firms, etc. Positions have included STEM and IT professionals, accounting & finance, analysts, project managers, schedulers & planners, construction managers, sales professionals, C Suite level positions, executive assistants, academic coaches, and so on. I am also experienced in finding candidates with active clearances.

My methods:

I work independently and autonomously as a true 1099 consultant… not an employee of your company. So if you’re looking for someone who’ll camp out on a Slack channel or who’s always willing to “hop on Zoom” or get on phone calls with you, I’m not the consultant/SME for you. After our initial intake call to establish your needs and end goals, email is the best way to connect with me. Put simply: you tell me what you need accomplished and then I’ll work independently to make it happen for you. No phone calls, Zoom calls, or chit-chats needed. Think of it this way: you’re a busy professional yourself. Your goal in hiring a consultant or SME is to outsource your project to an expert who can deliver outstanding results on time and on budget. Your goal is not to be a micromanager or a babysitter! (And if it is your goal, we definitely wouldn't be a good match!)

I am most interested in working with medium to large established companies. I have experience with Fortune 500 firms with a global presence as well as medium companies with 200-500 people in regional offices. They have enough infrastructure to truly support a sensible hiring strategy and to onboard candidates in a way that is modern and nimble.

I am not interested in:

• contract-to-hire roles to become a full-time, permanent employee

• commission only positions

• working with very young start-up companies or third-party staffing agencies

• helping small firms make their very first hire

• pre-screening or pre-interviewing candidates for you

• clients in need of hand-holding or who wish to micromanage their consultants
