Job Responsibilities Trim Body Model preparation i) Connections creation - Spot-weld, Adhesive & Hemming, Bolt and Sealants. ii) Subsystem validation - BIW, Closures, Front & Rear Axle, IP & Console and Seats. iii) Cavity modeling - Wet Surface preparation, Cavity creation & Fluid structure coupling. iv) Contacts creation – Contacts between BIW & Closures with all subsystem trims. Modal analysis to identify the global modes and subsystem modes for Modal Alignment. Input point Mobility to evaluate the dynamic stiffness of global & local load entry points. Noise Transfer Function evaluation for Idle, Booming & Road Noise Performance. Vibration Transfer Function to identify the vibrational characteristics of the vehicle. Equivalent Static Stiffness calculation for body attachment points. Torsion & Bending Rigidity calculation to identify the stiffness of the overall vehicle structure. Root cause identification for NG Items using Panel Participation, Modal Contribution, Grid Participation and Operational mode shape analysis. Counter measure study to achieve the Performance and Mass targets by sensitivity study, Morphing (Shape/Section). Feasibility discussion with the Design team for the counter measures proposed by preparing a detailed Report. Optimization to reduce the mass without comprising the NVH performance within target limits by using Sensitivity analysis, Size (Thickness) Optimization, Topology and Topography. Report Preparation in a detailed way to show the results of all above calculations in client understandable manner and presenting directly to the client. ASSYSTEM INDIA, CHENNAI Senior Design Engineer May 2015 – April 2016 Working with Assytem india, Chennai as Senior Design Engineer for RENAULT NISSAN TECHNOLOGY AND BUSINESS CENTRE INDIA, CHENNAI Performing the Vehicle NVH model build and full vehicle assessment Entry level vehicle 2ASDU Designed and developed LOW COST STEERING ASSEMBLY for Kwid. Worked in major vibration reduction and cost reduction programs in Kwid. Test results were correlated with CAE, BIW level APPLUS IDIADA, PUNE Senior Project Engineer III Mar 2014 – May 2015 Working with Applus IDIADA, pune as Senior Project Engineer III for TATA MOTORS ODC. Performing the Vehicle NVH model build and full vehicle assessment for the different vehicles like Hatchback and sedan model Managing and building a group of four people who performs and delivers the project. Interaction with the customers for understanding their requirements and giving the proper solution Prepared the GiBiw and TBiw as per TML NVH standards Prepared the full vehicle assembly with the help of ANSA include manager. Performed modal (sol 103), Dynamic stiffness (sol 111) and closure stiffness for GiBiw models Performed Modal Structure (Sol 103) for full vehicle assembly Prepared Cavity model for the vehicle using teta mesh (TML Standards – Manual Method) and given for a modal run (SOL 103) and interface check run. Performed NTF run for full Vehicle Assembly with cavity and the countermeasure study is done to reduce the noise produced from the entry or hard points. Performed direct frequency response analysis (SOL 108) for the highest peaks in NTF and lowest stiffness value for Dynamic stiffness. Performed Topology (SOL 200) for mass optimization. Reports and graphs are generated and viewed using Metapost scripting. TATA AUTOCOMP SYSTEMS Ltd,Pune Senior Design Engineer Feb 2013 – Mar 2014 Worked With TATA AUTOCOMP SYSTEMS Ltd, Pune as Senior Design Engineer for CHRYSLER INDIA AUTOMOTIVE Ltd, Pune Performed the vehicle NVH model build and full vehicle assessment for FIAT South America Pickup Truck. Managed and built a group of two who performs and delivers the project. Prepared the Biw and TBiw as per CHRYSLER NVH standards Prepared the full vehicle assembly with the help of ANSA include manager. Performed modal (sol 103), Point mobility (sol 111) for Biw models Prepared Cavity model for the vehicle using HEX mesh (Chrysler Standards – Automatic Method) and given for a modal run (SOL 103) and interface check run. Graphs were viewed using Hypergraph templates and reports were prepared as per customers requirement. RENAULT NISSAN TECHNOLOGY AND BUSINESS CENTRE INDIA Engineer Aug 2011 – Feb 2013 Performed the vehicle NVH model build for A – Segment vehicle BIW level. Prepared the BIW for Modal run (SOL – 103) Prepared BIW for inertance calculation (SOL 111) and graphs were viewed by ANAMODE (Renault Software) and direct frequency response (SOL 108) were done to lower stiffness value and animation were seen by metapost. Preformed Transfert analysis i.e finding response at the panels by excitation on the entry points. Morphing were performed by using ANSA. Cookson Electronics, Bangalore Design engineer Nov 2010 – July 2011 Performed reliability analysis for various solders made in the company using COMSOL Software and check the results with the test results. A new rig with high-speed motor and blade was designed and developed for preparation of solder powder of nano gold, nano silver, etc. Performed reliability analysis for solder used in LUXEON REBEL LED (Power cycle) and failure of the solder induced by creep was found out using COMSOL software. MACHINE DESIGN SECTION,IIT MADRAS Project officer July 2009 – Nov 2010 Design and Fabrication of Speed reduction Gear Box for Fast Breeder Reactor, IGCAR. A high speed reduction gear box has been designed which should be compact (IGCAR requirement) and should produce high torque. So 4- stage planetary gear box was designed which can reduce the input speed from 1440 rpm to 2.6 rpm with high torque. The gearbox was designed as per AGMA standards. The software used for calculation of gear specification KISSsoft, modeling of the gearbox was using Pro-Engineer 4.0 and Solidworks 2010. Design and development of Slewing ring bearing for Fast Breeder Reactor, IGCAR Slewing ring bearing are generally 8-10 meters in diameter, which consist of Top race, bottom race and in between is the spherical ball (200 to 300 Nos.), which is tangentially fixed to both the races. Using Abaqus EF 6.10 this contact problem i.e. the stress induced and deformation in the spherical balls due to the load acting on the top race and bottom race.
