DATA ANALYTICS PROJECTS
“Does Medium of Instruction matter? A propensity score analysis of the effect of medium of Instruction in
School education on students learning outcomes”
This research uses propensity score matching methods to examine whether students between 8 and
11 years old in India have higher reading, mathematics and writing scores when the medium of
instruction is English as opposed to regional languages. The estimates from statistical model suggest
that there is no significant difference in learning outcomes between the two groups.

“Understanding the effect of Fukushima Tragedy on public attitudes towards Nuclear Energy”
This research used Gallop International’s Global Snap Poll (N=32,089) to understand whether
Fukushima Tragedy affected public attitudes towards Nuclear Energy. The estimates show that
nations with a higher percentage of nuclear energy production were more likely to be in favor of
nuclear energy. Additionally we found that countries which were higher on the global information
flow index were more likely to oppose nuclear energy after the nuclear accident
SOFTWARE PROJECTS
Wine Plan Management System
Developed a functionality which allowed customers to place recurring orders through the website and also
provided them an option to modify the contents of the wine case. This ATG-based project involved the usage
of real-time webservice calls to communicate with the Microsoft DX back end system and ajax to display the
contents of the wine case and to make modifications.
Campaign Offers Inventory
Built the database infrastructure and integrated it to the ATG Commerce Service Center in order to allow the
vendor to manage the campaign offers easily. This project also involved large scale migration of data from the
old data scheme to the new scheme and modification of the price calculation routine to account for the
difference in the sales tax rates in the United States.

Implemented ATG web-commerce internationalization to the existing web application to facilitate
the client to expand their business into U.S. and Australia.
