PROJECT COORDINATED: Organization: Capgemini India Pvt Ltd. • Client: Discover Financial Services (DFS) • Team Size: 8 • • • • • • • Project Abstract : The Purpose of this project was to migrate all the jobs from Hadoop to AWS(Snowflake) Responsibilty: Migrated the data from Hadoop System to Abinitio and loaded replaced the hive database with Snowflake . Understanding the project requirements by going through Business Requirements Documents. Development of graphs using various AbInito components like Join, Reformat, Rollup, Sort, Partition Components etc. from hive query . Partition components were used to partition the large amount of data files into simple multiple data files. We extracted the data from source and did several transformations and finally through abinitio staged the data in S3 bucket and from there Using python scripts to snowflake database. Developed advanced Graph to process this kind of Data movement to cloud(Snowflake). Developed application for Tokenization and Detokenization of sensitive data and segregated as per client requirments. • • • • • • Also as part of this project worked on transforming the Complex SQL to Snowsql(snowflake) and Implemented the same as Abinitio graph for easy debugging. Client: Discover Financial Services (DFS) Team Size:20 Summary: The Project consists is based on Banking Domain. Discover banking business includes Discovercard branded credit cards issued through Discover Bank to individuals and small businesses on the Discover Network. Other products include like student loans and personal loans. Payment services business consists of: PULSE, one of the nation's leading ATM/debit networks, Diners Club International, a global payments network and third-party issuing business, which includes credit, debit and prepaid cards issued by third parties on the Discover Network. The Transactional data from Discover is loaded into Data Warehouse tables. The process consists of landing layer where data from landing is loaded to output files and are catalogues on data hub. Then in Extract layer, transformations are applied and business checks are performed. Finally in EDWH layer, SCD type 2 operations are performed and data is loaded in warehouse tables.The Warehouse data is used by various teams for daily reporting purposes. Responsibilities: • • • • • • Analyzing business requirements for enhancing graphs in Ab initio. Code promotion using tagging & save files, using Live Queue tool. Tuning of Ab Initio graphs for better performance. Using of sandbox parameters to check in and checkout of graphs from repository Systems. Extensive usage of Multifile system where data is partitioned into four partitions for parallel processing and wide usage of lookup. Responsible for cleansing the data from source systems using Ab Initio components such as Join, Sort, Dedup Sorted, Normalize, Reformat, Filter-by-Expression, Rollup. • • • • Worked with Departition Components like Concatenate, Gather, and Merge in order to departition and repartition data from Multifiles accordingly. Worked with Partition Components like Partition-by-key, Partition-by expression, Partition-by-Round Robin to partition the data from serial file and multi file. Worked with database components like input table, output table and update table for loading unloading and updating the table using multi load, fast export, fast load and api mode. Usage of JS Console (Tivoli Scheduler) to create jobs and run them.
