Manager- Legal: Disincentivize of Cable TV and Online Piracy
Key Deliverables
Performed technical analysis for satellite and CATV content protection on mode of piracy, operators involved, and hardware used to pirate Star signals/channels of approx. 3000 operators. Initiated the 1900 criminal/civil complaint against the operators on the basis of the forensic.
Provided technical assistance to police authorities and administrative agencies to identify hardware used for piracy and help them to make seizure to disrupt piracy.
Conducted approx. 250 technical audits along with IT team, as per TRAI (Telecom Regulatory Authority India) regulations schedule III. Verified whether head-end is DAS compliance as per regulations.
Signed 24x7 and 365 days agreement with two agencies who scan the Star content and through platform right management tools/DMCA/Digital stakeholders like web registrar, server service providers, web host, CDN players and payment gateways to disrupt availability of Star content on multiple digital platforms like YouTube, Facebook, Instagram, Twitter and other pirated websites and mobile applications.
