As an SDE-Intern at Amazon for 6 months, I successfully completed multiple projects that involved building AWS Lambda services for virus scanning and integrating portals with backend virus scanning software. I worked with technologies such as Backbone JS, Ajax, Ruby on Rails, and Angular JS to ensure file safety before download.
Upon joining Amazon as a Full-Time Employee (FTE) in August 2021, I continued to excel in my role. I built a service that executed data deletion from S3, DynamoDB, and ElasticSearch based on deletion events scheduled 25 days prior, ensuring compliance with GDPR regulations. I also disambiguated the GDPR implementation for four services owned by my team, providing data deletion and archival approaches based on use cases, showcasing strong skills in requirement gathering, problem solving, and summarizing approaches.
Furthermore, I resolved 25 risks out of 75+ for an internal credential manager tool, migrating the remaining risks to AWS-based solutions like KMS keys, IAM Roles, and AWS secrets through a well-planned implementation strategy. I also mentored an intern during their 6-month internship, guiding them in understanding existing services and contributing to credential manager risk mitigation, which resulted in the intern receiving a Full-Time offer.
In addition, I completed training and became a Security Certifier at Amazon, conducting security reviews for internal applications, including critical payment processing financial pipelines. My expertise in security reviewing and certification adds value to the organization's security processes.
Overall, my work experience at Amazon as an SDE-Intern and FTE showcases my technical skills, problem-solving abilities, mentoring capabilities, and commitment to ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
