My career has spanned diverse industries, beginning in healthcare as a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) specializing in geriatric patient care. This foundational experience taught me compassion and attention to detail while working with elderly populations. I subsequently joined National Health Labs, further developing my medical expertise before pursuing three years of college education to broaden my professional qualifications.
Transitioning from healthcare, I joined Walmart Supercenter as a Sales-Floor Associate in Sporting Goods, where I discovered aptitudes for retail operations, merchandising, and management. My performance led to progressive responsibilities, moving from the sales floor to grocery receiving, then advancing to Inventory Control. Recognizing my organizational skills and business acumen, I was promoted to Department Manager overseeing Impulse Merchandise. In this role, I implemented strategies that saved the company thousands of dollars in shrinkage during my tenure—a significant accomplishment demonstrating my problem-solving abilities and financial consciousness.
After a year in department management, I transitioned to the pharmacy as a Technician, combining my retail experience with my healthcare background. During this period, I experienced profound personal loss, losing both my mother and husband within nine months of each other. These tragedies profoundly impacted my life trajectory and career decisions.
Following this difficult period, I joined RGIS as a traveling inventory specialist, conducting inventory counts at Walmart locations nationwide. This position utilized my inventory management expertise while providing opportunities to travel and rebuild my life. Subsequently, I became a cable technician for Charter Communications (formerly Time Warner Cable), acquiring technical skills in telecommunications and customer service.
Embracing entrepreneurship, I launched Kevrow5760, a successful e-commerce store selling family apparel. This venture demonstrated my business development capabilities, digital marketing skills, and ability to identify market opportunities. After successfully operating this online retail business, I decided to close the store and transition toward retirement.
However, seeking supplemental income during retirement, I joined Willis Towers Watson, working in the Finance and Insurance division specifically during Medicare enrollment seasons. Over four seasons, I helped clients navigate complex healthcare insurance decisions, combining my healthcare background with financial services expertise.
Throughout my career, I've demonstrated adaptability, continuous learning, resilience through personal adversity, and success across healthcare, retail management, inventory control, telecommunications, entrepreneurship, and financial services—showcasing versatility and commitment to professional excellence regardless of industry.
