After their successful stint in the horror blockbuster film, A Quiet Place, celebrity couple and actors John Krasinski and Emily Blunt will be making quite a noise as they come back to the big screen as the voices in the upcoming animated film, Animal Crackers. Known for their on and off screen chemistry and humor, Krasinski and Blunt have once again proved their quirkiness and wit in the making of this animated movie. In an interview, one of Animal Cracker’s director, Scott Christian Sava, revealed how the duo “went off script” and made the whole film even more exciting, “John and Emily came in for their first session together. They went off script. They had fun. They laughed. They joked. It was magical. I knew then and there… we need to let the actors play.” John Krasinski voices the main character in the film, Owen Huntington, whose work and life cycle is stuck in a boring and fruitless loop that also prevents him from spending time with his family. One day, Owen receives a news that a long lost uncle, Buffalo Bob, has passed away and has left him a circus! What could have been a blessing turned out to be a curse when Owen discovers that the circus is on the verge of falling apart. But as luck would have it, Owen together with his wife, Zoe, voiced by Emily Blunt, discovers a mysterious box of animal crackers that can magically turn whoever eats it into an animal! With this discovery, the family now has the means to make the circus successful... if only they can keep the crackers safe and away from Bob’s brother, Horatio Huntington. Starring along the awesome twosome is an ensemble of big Hollywood stars- Sir Ian McKellen, Sylvester Stallone, Danny De Vito, and Raven-Symone. Animal Crackers is directed by Tony Bancroft and Scott Christian Sava. Animal Crackers opens in Philippine cinemas September 12, 2018 and will be released by Captive Cinema.
