1 C.V Rose Hodge -- Personal Statement Originally from the UK and now based in Bali, I am interested in continuing with a career in administration and/or content writing to use and develop my existing skills within a new environment. My previous employment experience has given me well rounded knowledge of different work sectors and allowed me to expand my skills to ensure I am able to thrive in a variety of roles. Villa Finder: Travel Consultant: November 2018 – November 2019 I worked as a sales representative for Villa Finder focusing on villa bookings in Bali, also assisting with Phuket, Sri Lanka and Mauritius. I would contact clients who were looking to book a villa for their holiday accommodation, using multiple methods of communication and adjusting the selling technique to match the client. This role taught me how to work efficiently in a multicultural setting, as well as how to adjust my approach for customers and colleagues to ensure effective and productive communication. Idhammar Systems Ltd: Marketing Administrator: July 2018 – September 2018 I returned to Idhammar Systems as a marketing administrator, on a freelance basis, to assist the existing marketing executive with the smaller, administrative tasks. This role includes; creating POs, writing blog posts, handling all social platforms (website, twitter, LinkedIn, YouTube), arranging and holding meetings, analysing website performance, creating eDMs, preparing for trade shows, handling GDPR responses and recording, and much more. Personal Summary Rose Hodge 2 Rumah TOMA: Social Media and Villa Management: 2017 – 2019 Rumah TOMA is a small home located in Umalas, Bali. Assisting my relative, I managed the social media and bookings. I created a personal marketing plan which includes updating the social media handles and Airbnb pages. My role was also to welcome and interact with the guests, administering all demands including planning for tours. as well as to organize the employee liaison and finance. This role has helped me to further develop my management and customer service skills. Grayson Sisters/Trash Rebel: Digital Editor and Writer (Volunteer): 2017 – February 2018 GraysonSisters is an online lifestyle magazine featuring an array of topics and sister organisation Trash Rebel is working to raise awareness of plastic waste. Volunteering as a digital editor, my main task is to proofread and edit texts prior to publication. Yia Mass: Bartender & Social Media Manager: October – November 2017, May 2018 – September 2018 Working as a bartender at Yia Mass I have developed my customer service skills as well as my team work abilities. I have grown my understanding of self-run businesses and learnt more about business management and personnel management. I have also created the current social media pages for Yia Mass and regularly posted. I personally created each advertisement that ran across all platforms. HelloBali Magazine: PR & Events Executive, Sales (Internship): February 2018 – March 2018 Hellobali magazine is a travel magazine based in Bali featuring what is happening on the island. As a PR & Event Executive, I gained experience within an Indonesian company as well as developed my marketing and PR skills. I learned a lot throughout my two-month internship of how to build a relationship with the clients and how to introduce the product to fulfil the client’s requirements. I believe my experience at HelloBali has allowed me to build my confidence when dealing with potential clients as well as to communicate the demand of the clients to a dynamic team. Idhammar Systems Ltd: Help Desk Manager: 2013 – 2017 The role at Idhammar began as an administration apprenticeship to help organise and develop an effective working standard for the Help Desk. Throughout my time at Idhammar I enhanced and developed my role to become the manager of the Help Desk, working closely with the team to ensure goals were being met and customers were consistently happy with the service they were receiving. I gained other responsibilities for the company such as Information Security Administrator and ISO9001 Internal Auditor which helped to grow my understanding of procedures, legal requirements and documentation. Skills IT: I am literate in most platforms and capable of using all Microsoft Office tools (Word/Excel etc) confidently. Professional Manner: Excellent telephone skills, good with numbers and financial matters, organised, intuitive, polite and a proven asset. Extra-curricular Awards 2012: High Achiever Award from United Teachers of Dance for a Tap exam grade 2010: Attendance Award from Oldfield School Hobbies and Interests I was an avid dancer since the age of 3 to 22 and partook in Ballet, Tap and Jazz lessons with the Venus School of Dance. I am lucky enough to have travelled to many exotic places such as Africa and Malaysia. I enjoy writing both informational and fictional texts. I do this for my own personal enjoyment to write down my memories and experiences.
