KEY ACHIEVEMENTS: ● ● Successfully independently developed and deployed one the company’s largest railway company integrations whilst working remotely at Loco2 Promotion to Senior Engineer with two years at Loyalty NZ as recognition of my contribution to software quality and architectural decisions KEY SKILLS AND ABILITIES: Ability to work independently and remotely At RailEurope/Loco2 I rewrote our integration with SNCF, the French railway system, to use their new API. This was one of our most significant integrations, financially and in terms of volume, and I independently rewrote and deployed it all whilst working remotely. More recently I helped VeriFi prepare to launch their app working as a 100% contractor. Team work At Loyalty New Zealand I worked with a team of around ten developers to design and implement a revamped loyalty system, eventually leading a small agile team working on a subset of this system. Programming literacy Highly experienced with Flutter/Dart, Ruby, PostgreSQL, HTML/CSS. Some experience with Rails, Amazon Web Services, React/JS, Firebase. Desire to Learn Most of the programming languages I have learnt have been self-taught. I thoroughly enjoy being given a problem I am unfamiliar with and seeking out the best solution. I actively maintain and have contributed to various popular Flutter packages. It is a sport involving walking and balancing on flat, one inch wide rope stretched high in the air. I helped to organise New Zealand’s first highlining festival held in the summer of 2013 and have represented New Zealand in international highlining events in China and Switzerland. Making food - I love to make bread and pasta by hand. I won’t claim to be up to Italian standards on the pasta yet though! Traveling – I choose to travel and live in other countries as a way to experience other cultures and ways of thinking.
