Companies worked for were Data Bank, Frank Bros., Nuchem Plastics, PCCPL, Alcat and Software Inc. (From 1997 – 2005):Freelance work for proprietor companies like Adarsh Stores, PgDigs and NakedWrites. Packages developed were Financial Accounting. Also developed a software testing application for SSI Pvt. Ltd. Have working knowledge of XML, XSL, and CSS. Have also written articles on Insurance and edited books. (From 2005 – Present) Currently working as freelance content writer for American markets. Also have experience with five star hotels in Norway (SAS Hotel, Oslo Norway). Details of Applications Developed Company:Data Bank This firm was providing software development and data processing services for various companies like Usha, Inalsa. I began as a trainee and was given the task of developing a programme to calculate overdue bank interests owed by the company. This was a simple programme written in BASIC and was completed within a week’s time. Company:Frank Brothers (Publisher) Pvt. Ltd. This company was publishing books for schools and had installed a computer to track its inventory as well as to write invoices for books purchased. I was given the task of streamlining the Inventory package and to write a program to generate Invoices for books sold. This Invoice generation programme was written in a week’s time and was implemented straight away. In addition I had to write a programme to calculate the royalty owed to authors. The programme was written in BASIC. Company:Nuchem Plastics Ltd. This company was manufacturing Chemicals and had an EDP Department in which it was running Financial Accounting and Payroll packages. I was given the task of developing an In-House Financial Accounting package and this was completed within a month. The main features of this package were generation of Daybooks, Cashbook and Ledgers. This was also developed in BASIC. Company:PCCPL This company was a civil engineering company with various construction projects spread over various locations in India. I was in charge of running the Financial Accounting Programme as well as developing an Estimation Package. This programme was developed in COBOL and calculated the resources needed as well resources being used in each of the various projects that were in progress. Company:ALCAT This was also a construction company with computer programmes being used for Payroll, Financial Accounting. I was implementing these packages for the company. Company:Gurind Sales This was my first company working as a freelancer. It was engaged in selling Plywood products and needed a programme to generate Invoices as well as to track the sales and generate customer ledgers. I developed this programme in COBOL and the main features of this programme were Invoices and Customer Ledger and Inventory control. I designed the databases, coded the transactions and developed the programme within two months. Company:Adarsh Stores This was store engaged in selling cosmetics and eatables. The firm required a Financial Accounting Package, which would track its sales and generate all financial reports up to Trial Balance. I developed a Financial Accounting Package that generated Daybooks, Cashbooks, Ledger and Trial Balance. The package was developed in Dbase. Company:SSI Pvt. Ltd. This company was engaged in Software Development for overseas clients such as Marrion Marrieta. It had a number of software packages, which were developed in various languages such as FoxPro, C and C++. The company wanted to optimize its software development and therefore required a programme to parse the coded programmes (in various languages) and to generate a report that would show which programme was calling other programmes and whether there were cyclical calls and to report the same. I developed this package in three months time and it could read the source code in various programming languages and generate the report that showed the structure of the application. This programme was developed in FoxPro.
