ROMMEL E. LUBON, CPA, MBA is a graduate of Bachelor of Science in Accountancy at UM Tagum College in 2010. As a working student, he used this experience to manage his time effectively by balancing both study and work. He loves sharing his knowledge with others which inspired him to join in the Dynamic Society of Accounting Students (DYSAS). He became a Certified Public Accountant in October 2010 and eventually, worked as a Junior Auditor at the Olaño, Duterte, and Associates in January 2011. Later that year, he realized that his love for teaching never withered and is determined to have a huge impact on the students’ lives. Eventually, he was hired as a part-time professor in the Accountancy program of his alma mater and teaching from 2011 to 2015.
In 2013, he joined the government service as an Accounts Analyst of the National Food Authority. After a year, he transferred to the Commission on Audit and became a State Auditor. In the same year, he finished his Master in Business Administration at the University of Immaculate Conception in Davao City. In 2016, he received the Promising Star Award in COA Regional Office No. 11 in recognition of his significant contributions as neophyte to the attainment of COA’s major function tasks and demonstrating leadership abilities. Just recently, he was chosen as one of the national awardees of the 2017 Gawad Kahusayan (Outstanding Performance) Award given by the Commission on Audit to employees which demonstrates extraordinary competence and capacity.
