Job Description
•Installs and configures the Operating Systems of the servers and ensures that the servers are running properly.
•Administer and maintains all servers that provide services and ensures that its operating systems are efficiently
utilized to support continuous and uninterrupted delivery of services.
•Administer and maintain end user accounts, permissions, access rights in adherence to security and application
policies.
•Handles advanced technical implementations of the servers.
•Provides analysis on the performance of the servers.
•Conducts research on emerging products, services, protocols, and standards in support of systems software
procurement and development efforts.
•Creates, maintains and improves policies, procedure and operational documents.
•Recommends action items and countermeasures for the improvement of the infrastructure server performance.
•Recommends server infrastructure enhancements to ensure continuity of a reliable server performance.
•Ensures that the server is operating in accordance with the company standards and security best practices. Follow
policies and processes related to server security and reports issues to direct supervisor (or higher) in case of security
related problems.
•Helps in troubleshooting server related incident. Ensures that the request ticket assigned is updated in a timely
manner.
•Performs internal audits and ensures adherence to audit compliance and IT governance policies (user account
reviews and compliance to periodical audit requirements).
•Provides technical assistance and guidance in educating other members of the team.
•Interacts and negotiates with suppliers, outsourcers, and contractors to secure software products and services and in
management of maintenance agreements and support services.
•Documents any technical activity, incident handling, system setup and change management.
•Performs other job-related duties that may be assigned from time to time by the immediate supervisor.
