These are mobile courts that provide for believers to deal with legal grounds for accusations brought against
them by the accuser of the brethren (Revelation 12:10).
Going to court to deal with legal grounds is one of the prayer methods for believers to see victory and walk
in the abundant life.
From Luke 11, we see that God is a Father and also a friend but in Luke 18:1-8, God is seen as a Judge.
Many scriptures tell us the God is a Judge and we see examples of court cases from the bible – Job 1:6-12 &
Job 2:1-6, Daniel 7:9-10, 21 and Zechariah 3:1-9
From Zechariah 1:4 we note that God was calling the children of Israel to turn from evil ways and wicked
acts – sins/transgressions and iniquities.
We deal with legal grounds on an ongoing basis as we see situations that confront us.
Why courts when we are in the NT and the blood of Jesus is available for us?
We are tripartite beings (1 Thessalonians 5:23) and salvation is not a single event. Our spirit is born again
but the soul and body are not hence we have to work out our salvation with fear and trembling (Philippians
2:12) and we wait for the redemption of our bodies.
The blood of Jesus works with light and not with darkness based on 1 John 1:5-10. Where the light of God
shines, the blood of Jesus begins to work. Things we do not know represent darkness in our lives.
The provision for us to go to court has been made in Hebrews 4:16 – come boldly before the throne
(bench) of God to obtain mercy and find grace to help in time of need.
God has told us in Isaiah 43:46 which says, “Take Me to court; let us argue our case together. State your case, so that
you may be vindicated.”
