I started my career in customer service as a Promoter for one of Jamaica's largest food distribution companies by the name of Grace Kennedy Company Limited (GKCL). I did promotion for one year and six months. My day-to-day job responsibilities included-demonstrating and explaining good and services to customers, as well as presenting them with product information. The skills that I acquired from doing this job was the ability to understand customer needs and handle different types of personalities, strong listening skills, communication skills, social and presenting skills, persuasive techniques and product knowledge. After that, I found a new role, which was at Sutherland Global Services where I was a Customer Service Representative for one year. My day-to-day job responsibilities included- open customer accounts to upgrade and add information, receiving inbound calls and making outbound calls, advised customers' of promotion availability, answering product and services questions. The skills that I accumulated from working as Customer Service Representative are customer service, problem-Solving, empathy, multi-tasking, and documentation skills.
