• PhD Thesis: Vision-based geolocation methods to assist outdoor navigation of persons with visual impairment
• During my PhD, I explored leveraging computer vision to improve geolocation accuracy, aiding outdoor navigation for people with
visual impairment. I introduced HLoc+SV, a method achieving a mean geolocation error of 0.77 m, signi cantly improving the
smartphone GNSS geolocation accuracy. Additionally, I proposed an alternative approach for GNSS-unreliable scenarios,
incorporating GMCP-based image retrieval and SQI illuminance normalisation. My study also explored illuminant impact analysis
and highlighted the e ectiveness of MSER combined with SQI and Sieve in enhancing street view image matching.
