I have been working in the BPO industry for 6 years now. I have always handled customer service for big telco accounts. My first job was a Canadian based telco company as a customer care representative. I mostly handled billing concerns, account maintenance, a bit of troubleshooting, scheduling a technician and upsell or sales for additional services. I lasted there for more than a year before transferring to a different company in which i handled a US based telco customer service. Most of the job description is the same with the first company aside from the troubleshooting piece. After working there for 7mos i transferred to my third company where i stayed for almost 5years. We handled the same US based telco company however on a different line of business. We pitch mobile phone offers, internet services, plan features, equipment upgrades.
